My Money Venture (https://mymoneyventure.com) is an educational app for learning about money. This policy explains what we collect and why. If you are under 18, we encourage you to review this with a parent or guardian.

What we collect

• Google sign-in: When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this to identify your account and save progress.
• Learning progress: Completed lessons, quiz scores, badges, XP, streaks, and related activity stored in our database when you are signed in.
• Local device data: Progress may also be stored in your browser before or without sign-in; signing in syncs progress to our servers.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, general location (country/region from IP), device type, and how people use the site. We do not send your email to Google Analytics.
• Technical logs: Our hosting provider may log IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and reliability.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for authentication (NextAuth session), theme preferences, progress, and cookie consent. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but some features (especially sign-in) may not work.

How we use information

• Provide lessons, quizzes, badges, and progress sync
• Improve content and fix bugs
• Understand aggregate usage via analytics
• Operate admin tools for authorized site owners only

What we do not do

• Sell your personal information
• Use your data for targeted advertising
• Provide personalized financial advice

Sharing

We use Google (sign-in and analytics) and our hosting infrastructure. We only share data as needed to run the service or if required by law.

Retention & deletion

Progress is kept while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated progress, email bhattadtanvi@gmail.com.

Children & family use

My Money Venture is designed for learners of all ages, including students starting their money journey. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users and discuss lessons together. We do not knowingly collect more information than needed to operate the educational service.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
